When God Spoke Back: Meeting the Divine in Dreams, Symbols, and Stillness

I grew up talking to God.

It wasn’t unusual for me to speak to the Divine as a child—but for many years, I never expected a response. That changed only recently, after years of healing trauma and gently raising my vibration to meet the frequency of that divine presence. As my energy became lighter, clearer, and more aligned, something extraordinary happened: God started talking back.

There was no booming voice or burning bush. Instead, there was love. Gentle. Immense. Expansive. A presence without judgment, punishment, or conditions—just deep, unwavering support.

The first time I experienced this dialogue, the Divine appeared to me in a lucid dream as a bald eagle. I climbed onto his back and soared, feeling completely held. As we flew, I heard him call me “my child.” I asked, “Are you God—the Divine?” and without hesitation, I heard, “Of course I am, my child.”

I wondered why He appeared to me as an eagle. Instantly, the eagle transformed into an elderly man with a long white curly beard—a form many might recognize as “God-like.” He looked at me with kind eyes and said, “Do you prefer me this way? Many do. I always appear as one can best receive me.”

Since then, I rarely see the Divine in a specific physical form. Sometimes I catch a glimpse—a pair of loving eyes, the warmth of a hug, the sensation of a hand in mine—but mostly, we speak. We talk while I’m meditating, driving, falling asleep, or simply resting in quiet. He is always there.

This presence, constant and unconditional, has become a guiding force in my life. A reminder that Divinity lives not only around me, but within me. It is accessible. It is listening. And it is always, always loving.
